Valeria

Hola! My name is Valeria Gutierrez and I am a multidisciplinary artist, graphic design student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and part time freelance designer. I am also a photographer and fine artist, so creativity shows up in everything I do, not just on a screen.

I am deeply inspired by beauty, especially the kind that points back to the Divine Artist. The book God Is Beauty by Saint John Paul II really resonates with me because it reflects how I see art and design. I believe beauty is powerful. It can move people, tell stories, and reflect something greater than ourselves.

Much of my work is inspired by the vibrant colors and detailed patterns of my Mexican culture, especially Talavera pottery and traditional ornament. I am drawn to bold color, layered pattern, and visual rhythm that feels alive and intentional. Whether I am designing, photographing, or creating fine art, I want my work to reflect culture, faith, and a genuine love for beauty.
